Femtobeam LLC Announces Photobioreactor Facility Designs

"Groundbreaking Designs for Production of Algae Biomass with No Toxins and...Without the Sun."

March 31, 2009 - Colorado

Femtobeam LLC announced this week that it had completed mass balances and designs for
advanced state of the art photobioreactor systems. These closed photobioreactors provide
a safe way to grow biomass, especially algae, without toxins. The Femtobeam LLC
photobioreactor systems do not require sunlight. They are low power consumptive and can be
powered with Femtobeam LLC 3D solar designs. They are used to grow plant materials for food
 or oil and gas.

"The Femtobeam LLC light sources emit light from the entire surface area, providing a uniform
growth rate of single cells. This means that the cells all grow and die at the same rate, making
it possible for the first time to harvest algae with no toxins", said Femtobeam founder Robin L. Ore.
The mass balances were designed by John Blauwkamp, Femtobeam's COO. "I have discovered
a way to utilize the space so there will be more photobioreactors feeding one large industrial
dryer and I have found a way to drastically reduce costs", he said. Femtobeam photobioreactor
facilities are scalable from small units all the way up to power plants. Robin L. Ore, the inventor,
said, "The best place for our photobioreactor power plants is right next to the polluting ones.
We are synergistic with them. We clean up their pollutants and provide them additional power
supply while they provide us with the CO2 and water they use for cooling, to grow our biomass.
The uses in advanced medicine are the most exciting part of it for me", says Ore, a former pediatric
nurse. "We can now produce pure pharmaceutical feedstock and even produce vaccines in a patch",
she said. "It also means we can now look differently at the future of food and space travel."

Femtobeam LLC is forming the holding company to design and manufacture the photobioreactor
systems and work with a large collection of scientific and engineering friends. They are in
discussions with a designer and builder of automated manufacturing equipment and could be up
and running by the end of this year. They have a large number of affiliated researchers that Ms.
Ore has been in contact with over the more than 25 years of R&D, mostly in HDTV related technology.
"The lamps were the result of my long search for light sources for large displays. I discovered in 1996,
while living in Paris that I could grow violets in my closet with one. I have spent the past 15 years
inventing them", says Ore. Femtobeam LLC has opted to use IP and Trade Secrets rights, rather
than patenting and losing valuable information. "Patents are for people with funds for attorneys
over a 25 year period or for individuals who want to license their technology to a manufacturer.
We want to manufacture our own and employ US workers for a change", she said. Ms. Ore has
long standing agreements with her partner in Germany, Mr. Manfred Lehman and has other
 agreements in place as well.

"We are integrating new inventions and inventors into new products which create new industries",
says Ore. "I am a pioneer in HDTV and was behind the scenes most of the time, an expert in the
smaller but significant matters, along with important decision makers in the industry." Ms. Ore has
long been in contact with Dr. John L. Hall, the 2005 Nobel Prize winner in Physics for the Optical Comb.
"It is the reason you have cell phones", she says. We have been the leaders in advanced integrations
for communications technology. The company will be headquartered in Colorado, with contacts
and affiliations all over the world.
